Black Burials

The following is a list of black persons, or persons likely to have been black, interred in the Loyalist and Rural Cemeteries. Burials before 1856 took place in the Loyalist Cemetery. Except for the Stewart and Norris families, these persons are not known to the writer to have burial markers. The All Saints burial record is itself but a partial record of the many black persons known to have lived and died in St. Andrews. •
